Teleconference “Hospitality: yesterday, today, tomorrow” at the EAGI Higher College

On November 19, 2025, as part of the Year of Working Professions, EAGI Higher College hosted a teleconference aimed at developing cooperation between educational organizations and representatives of the hospitality industry.

The purpose of the event is to expand the professional competencies of students, popularize working professions and strengthen partnerships between educational institutions and the hospitality industry.

• Kazakhstan Association of Hotels and Restaurants
• Almaty College of Technology
• Leading hotels: Beijing Palace, Ramada by Wyndham, Grace Point, Kazzhol Astana
• Travel companies: “Velvet Season”, Gvidon tour, Astana tour

The teleconference program included:
• The discussion panel “The territory of hospitality: experience, career, inspiration” is an interactive communication between students and graduates and employers of the hospitality industry.
• Guest lectures — dialogue with representatives of the travel company “Velvet Season” and the hotel “Grace Point”.
• The “Hospitality Intelligence: Man and Technology” platform is a demonstration of the practical application of artificial intelligence in education and the service sector.
• Online meeting “Vectors of the development of the hospitality industry” with the participation of the Chairman of the Kazakhstan Tourism Association and the Kazakhstan Association of Hotels and Restaurants R.R. Shaikenova.

The event ended with a “Free hour”, which provided the participants with an opportunity for informal communication and the establishment of professional contacts.

The teleconference contributed to an effective dialogue between students and potential employers, the expansion of their professional competencies and the formation of a modern understanding of the development of the hospitality industry.
