Religious values in a secular state

A round table discussion on one of the pressing issues of modern society — the role and significance of religious values in a secular state — was held at our college. The main objective of the event was to explain the principles of secularism to young people, enhance religious literacy, and strengthen social stability and harmony.

During the round table, participants exchanged views on the fundamental principles of a secular state, the relationship between religion and the state, and the role of religious values in moral education. In addition, issues such as the continuity of national values and religious traditions, the spiritual development of youth, the prevention of religious radicalism, and the formation of a culture of tolerance were discussed in detail.

Participants freely expressed their opinions, placing special emphasis on the responsibility of educational institutions in shaping religious awareness in society. Expert insights and practical examples contributed to the development of critical thinking among young people and fostered a conscious and balanced approach to religious issues.

This round table served as an important platform for strengthening students’ civic engagement, promoting respect for the values of a secular society, and maintaining mutual understanding and a culture of respect.
